Born Texan Brand’s mission is to become one of the most recognized Texas-based brands. Our vision is to outfit everyone that has state pride and those that simply want to own a unique and quality item which represents Texas. We will offer a variety of pieces to choose from to start or add to existing collections.

Why so much Pride? Texas history was taught in early education and throughout higher ed, so state pride was always instilled in us. When traveling in and out of the country, people recognize folks being from Texas by a subtle accent or using “y’all” to address a group of people. Like many, I was never one to miss the opportunity to brag a bit about where I came from.

So on March 2nd, 2021, we decided to create a brand complete with a trademarked logo to showcase pride for the state. A subtle yet very recognizable symbol that is easily identifiable by those that know Texas. The loveable and special nine-banded armadillo.

The armadillo is the state's designation for the official small mammal, and it is a unique and beautiful creature. Personally, I have come to find out that it is very much my spirit animal. You may catch a glimpse of the private armadillo at night or, sadly, having not made it across the road, but its species continues to survive and thrive stubbornly.

I, too, as well as many who share a similar story, have been tossed under a bus or two in life, metaphorically speaking, of course. The armadillo that didn’t make it may come back as a set of baby quadruplets in their next life, and fortunately for me and others, there is still the chance to wake up every day to pursue unfinished dreams and goals. Much like Texans, armadillos are both a little stubborn and possess the ability to change and adapt to survive. It’s what we do here .
